Inspired by the legend of Melusine, the mermaid with two tails symbolizing duality, our architectural project embraces the balance between two bodies of water—nestled between the rhythmic waves of the beach on one side and the tranquil stillness of water on the other. Like Melusine’s transformation between realms, the design embodies fluidity and connection, forging a deep relationship between land and sea. This interplay creates an immersive experience where architecture becomes an extension of nature, dissolving the boundaries between built space and the organic world. Rooted in biophilic design, the structure welcomes natural light, airflow, and vegetation, fostering a sense of harmony and well-being. Framed by expansive openings, the project captures breathtaking views of the ocean ahead and the majestic mountains rising in the background, reinforcing a deep connection to the landscape.
Every element, from form to materiality, is shaped by the surrounding environment. The color palette is drawn from the hues of sand, sea, and sky, allowing the structure to blend seamlessly with its setting while enhancing the natural beauty around it. A series of beautiful modular structures with lush green facades integrate cascading planters, softening the architecture while promoting sustainability and comfort. The design reflects a commitment to sustainability and reverence for place, much like the myth of Melusine—where transformation, mystery, and balance coexist. This project is not just a space but a living, breathing architectural expression of the dual forces that shape our world.
