We are proud to inform you that Roche Bobois has launched Zephyrus!
To celebrate this event we would like to share a teaser to reveal the genesis of Zephyrus, the centerpiece of the latest Roche Bobois Paris gallery collection.
Like a chrysalis transforms into a butterfly, our sideboard was generated by a complex controlled deformation of 7 hexagonal prisms, hidden behind the simple actions of pushing and stretching of the polygons.
Its symmetry is achieved by mirroring and rotating the volumes around the core, creating an ever transforming furniture piece when moving around it in space.
Zephyrus is a center piece, with no front or back, but rather two front sides, like in an anamorphose process.
The polymorphic nature of the sculptural piece reflects the quality of the butterfly as a symbol of life as transformative process.
