We are excited and proud to share that, following the jury visit last week, Freebooter has been nominated for the Arie Keppler prijs 2020 by MOOI Noord-Holland!
Only 10 buildings selected over 122 projects.
You can also vote for the public awards at this LINK.

As pioneering dutch urban planner, Arie Keppler had applied innovative principles to his vision for new residential developments in Amsterdam, like the “garden city model” (by Ebenezer Howard), a model that includes benefits of both natural and city environments.
Most of the city expansions from the early 20th century are conceived and realised under his guidance, with the support of renowned architects of the time like Hendrik Petrus Berlage for Amsterdam Zuid.
Supportive of the Amsterdamse School, he endorsed some of the most remarkable works of the architect’s movement like Michel de Klerk.
Low-rise buildings, integrated green, and social housing were on top of his lists when he was Director of the Gemeentelijke Woningdienst.

In 2001 the MOOI Noord-Holland Foundation established a prize on his honour, awarding architects and architecture for their values:
-Concept development architecture and housing,
-Cultural history as a source of inspiration,
-Climate adaptation, sustainability and energy transition,
-Nature and ecology

Thanks to the jury:
Marc Reniers (architect en bestuurslid MOOI Noord-Holland),
Anouk Vermeulen (winnnaar 2018 en architect-directeur AG architecten),
Steven Slabbers (landschapsarchitect, partner BoschSlabbers en Provinciaal Adviseur Ruimtelijke Kwaliteit),
Karin Westerink (voorzitter Federatie Grote Monumentengemeenten en hoofd monumenten Amsterdam en Weesp) en
